Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 4th, 2010  for the presentation of funds from the Ondossagon All School Reunion to the Benoit Community Center. The event will be at the Benoit Community Center in Benoit. Doors open at 1:00 PM and the program will be at 1:30. Refreshments will be served.

Will Johnson (Class of '58) ,  recorded video during both days the Ondossagon All School reunion held on August 6th  and 7th .   It   is  2 hours  in length . He captured music groups that performed, attendees visiting, conducted interviews, recorded classes as they were being photographed  and  there is additional  " behind the scenes "  footage. The programs for either night are not included. You know you're an Aggie  if... You can name everyone you graduated with. You have attended regular 4-H events  The county fair is the highlight of the year. You ever went to parties in a pasture, barn, or in the middle of a dirt road. School gets canceled for state events. You could never buy cigarettes because all the store clerks knew how old you and will tell      your folks.   It was cool to date someone from another school.  You had senior skip day. The whole school went to the same party after graduation. You don't give directions by highway numbers or road names.  You used  directions by references (turn by Nelson's house, go past the two fence posts then past the red barn with double silo's, and it's four houses left of the track field). Thank you from the Ondossagon All-School Reunion   What started as a wish and a dream became a reality for  over 1400 Aggies and friends who attended our two day reunion. From the large tent and muddy fields in Benoit (someone said Benoit Woodstock less 399,000 people) to the Bay Area Civic Center, Aggies came from almost every state in the union and as far away as Brazil to celebrate Ondossagon, reconnect with classmates, and relive their high school memories. We ate Ondossagon cafeteria food, purchased items from Huff's Store, listened to music from Aggie bands and singers, and connected with over  30 of our past teachers and administrators.   The reunion was a huge success! The Steering Team, 14 subcommittees, and over 80 core volunteers began the reunion planning two years ago. We again thank all these volunteers.  By reunion time, we had enlisted the help of service organizations, local and regional businesses, and individuals who shared their talents

MEMORIES OF ONDOSSAGON By: Julie Moravchik When I close my eyes I still can see the hallways, the teachers and my friends. The memories of Ondossagon High School are still fresh in my mind. They are such good memories. I wish there was a way to hop in a time machine and take a trip back every once in a while. Just for a day. Or maybe an hour or two. I was able to do that in a way just recently. The reunion committee asked me to make a video for our upcoming all-school reunion, and it gave me a chance to talk with people I haven't seen in a long time. I also had a chance to tour the museum they are setting up at the Benoit Community Center . I looked through old yearbooks and stacks of memorabilia like team uniforms and band uniforms. They even have that giant Aggie Bull that used to hang on the gym wall. It felt good. It brought back feelings I haven't felt in a long time. I miss that young girl sometimes - that girl who was used to knowing everyone by name, w

Annie forgot to mention, ...........to dress casual!  Shorts,  jeans, Capri's ........anything goes! This weekend is casual, not formal!  Be comfortable, have fun!

Annie says- "We are expecting approximately 1200 or more!  If you can,  plan to bring a lawn chair with you on Friday!  By bringing your own chair - it will assure you of a seat  There will be many tables and chairs, and we'll also have bales of hay to sit on as well.  It will be just like the old days!"       "Are you wondering how you will find classmates?  We will have banners with years, to help direct you to your friends on both nights.  Staff will also have a special banner.   We will also have posted in various areas our Look Who's Coming list!   That will help you know if that 'Special Old Friend' will be there.  Keep in mind, people had to register by  August 1, to get on that list."     The weather forecast looks great! You may even need a sweater in the evening on Friday!   Are you excited?  We are.......and about ready to throw out the welcome mat for you!                                The Steering Committee      

Annie says, "The food at the reunion will be great!"    On Friday, The Village Inn from Cornucopia will be  cooking up a great "Fish Boil," and  The Breakwater will be serving Roast Beef on  hoagie bread, with juice to dip it in.  Along with salads and Aggie Fudge Bars.    And we will also have a bake sale Friday night.  The Johanik sisters will be making all the local favorites such as wine bread and Kolaches.  They will be sold as individual servings.    Saturday night get ready for...... you guessed it......Beanburgers!  Weiner roll ups, spaghetti, fresh bread, salad, and apple crisp. It will be a buffet right out of the Ondossagon kitchen.  And if you look around you will see some of the cooks that served you in years passed.    MMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmm.   See you there!

Annie the Aggies says, "Don't forget your camera!"   Come ride the bus once again, and have your picture taken with  family or friends!  We also will have "Focus on Photography", Pam Ollanketo there to take photos for the whole event.    Class pictures will be taken on Saturday at the Bay Area Civic Center from 4:00PM to 7:00 PM.  We will announce when each class needs to gather.    Or if you want a family picture taken, Pam would be happy to do that.  After the reunion she will have photos posted, that you can order online as well. Annie the Aggie says, " We have lots of souvenir's, that will be for sale at the reunion.  We will have  t-shirts, cook books, history books, mugs, coasters, caps, and sweatshirts and more!   .  Anyone that ordered  after July 26, may not have their purchase available at the reunion, but we will are happy the ship it.   You also may order at the reunion for later shipping.   See you all at the reunion...........and yes, Annie the Aggie will be there too!                                                                                                The Steering Committee  

Aggie the Aggie says, "Only 6 days and .......music, music, music!"    We have lots of music coming your way on Friday night under the big tent!   Bob Olson (yes our former science teacher) on accordion with friends.  A 30's and 40's band with local musicians, and The Kozar Family.  A fter the auction, the music continues with the Clayton Toman's Band followed by  Bob Sell's Gypsy Road Band )   All kinds of music, just for you!  See you there!

Annie  the Aggie says, "Can you believe it?  Only 7 days!   Remember Huff's store?    All the wonderful penny candy along with Sugar Daddy's and Sugar Babies.  Wonderful Ice cream bars, that we called Cheerios! They will all be for sale once again.  Complete with the little brown bag to put your candy in stamped "Huff's store".  There will be a ribbon cutting at 2:00 PM Saturday at the Bay Area Civic Center. Look for the original "Huffs Store"  sign in the corner - inside.    There will be lots to do in the Ashland area over the weekend.  On Saturday morning there will be an old car show downtown Ashland, as well as a Muralfest!  If you haven't seen the murals located in  downtown Ashland, now would be a great opportunity-  as there will be host at each mural.    Check out the Mason Museum.  It is free.  People will be amazed to see how much local history is on display.  Many will see family photos and familiar items from the

Annie the Aggie says "Eight  days and counting!" The Auction Committee would like to hear from you!  We have received many items for the auction but  would like a few more items to make this a very successful auction. This event is a fund raiser for the Benoit Community Center! For the live auction (Friday) and a silent auction (Saturday), we are accepting donations of any and all types of goodies, whether it be arts and crafts, gift baskets, unique and unusual items, gift cards, etc.  Everything will be gladly accepted. As Aggies from across the nation gather, specialty items from your "new" home region would provide an interesting array of auction items.  Items can be dropped off or mailed to Robyn/David Lulich, 63375 USH 63, Mason, WI 54856 or email walker@ondossagonaggies.com  or myra@ondossagonaggies.com if you plan to bring items with you to the reunion. 

Annie the Aggie says "Hi"  to all her friends.  Nine days and counting!   Wondering how parking will be at Benoit?  Well, don't worry!  Yes, we will be parking in fields, and it may be a little walk to the "action",  but - no matter where you are at,   the local  ATV club will be coming around to pick you up "in style"  with wagons to give you a ride to the big tent!  See ya there!                                                                            The Steering Committee!

Hi Aggies: The final countdown begins today!  All those registered (household) will receive a "piece" of Ondossagon!  Yes, we had a hardwood  floor taken up from a classroom at Ondossagon, sawed, cut, sanded and varnished.  Then lasered with OHS 1917-1990.  Perfect key ring.  Something for you that will last forever and remind you of a place you loved!                                                                            The Steering Team!

All Aggie fans, alumni, teachers and friends are invited to attend the Ondossagon All-School Reunion on Friday, August 6 in Benoit and August 7 at the Bay Area Civic Center in Ashland . Pre registrations are recommended if you intend to eat and receive a souvenir tote bag.    Walk-ins will be allowed on Friday and Saturday.   On Friday the admission fee will be $10.00 if you choose not to receive the souvenir tote bag and forego the meal.   The charge per day of full admission with the meal will be $ 40.00 per day.   We can guarantee a meal and souvenir tote bag only to those who have pre-registered.   Because of space considerations, there will be no reductions in the admission fee at the Bay Area Civic Center on Saturday and the admission fee will be $40.00 for walk-ins.     An updated schedule of events follows:     ONDOSSAGON ALL -SCHOOL REUNION August 6-7, 2010 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS   Benoit Community Center Friday, August 6, 2010
