Hi Aggies, We are letting you all know about a new project Benoit Community Center is planning. Parking Lot Expansion Project With the increased popularity of our dinners, we are planning to expand the parking lot. We want to make sure that it’s safe and easy for people to continue to attend our events. Currently we have received bids to expand the parking lot into the old baseball field to the north of the building. We need $20,000 to make this project a reality. While it might be a little more walking, we want to ensure the safety of everyone attending events at the Community Center. Any contributions to the parking lot project are 100% tax deductible (we can provide a receipt). MEMORIES OF ONDOSSAGON By: Julie Moravchik When I close my eyes I still can see the hallways, the teachers and my friends. The memories of Ondossagon High School are still fresh in my mind. They are such good memories. I wish there was a way to hop in a time machine and take a trip back every once in a while. Just for a day. Or maybe an hour or two. I was able to do that in a way just recently. The reunion committee asked me to make a video for our upcoming all-school reunion, and it gave me a chance to talk with people I haven't seen in a long time. I also had a chance to tour the museum they are setting up at the Benoit Community Center . I looked through old yearbooks and stacks of memorabilia like team uniforms and band uniforms. They even have that giant Aggie Bull that used to hang on the gym wall. It felt good. It brought back feelings I haven't felt in a long time. It has been almost 40 years since the Class of 85 cleaned out their lockers, said goodbye to their friends, and walked across the stage to get their diplomas! The reunion planning has begun! Sure it's early, but 2025 will be here before we know it.
